The UC Berkeley Singapore Malaysia Student Association is a support organization run by Singaporeans, Malaysians and students of other nationalities to provide a closely knit family for other Singaporeans and Malaysians studying at Cal. Being far away from home and from the ones we hold dear is one of the many things we have in common.

We hold regular activities - some are purely for fun, some to help the freshmen out, and some to increase the school community's awareness of our organization. Notable events like freshmen BBQ, Chinese New Year dinner with neighboring Stanford University's SSA, Springfest and hiking trips are just some of the many things we do. Either way, we always enjoy ourselves thoroughly and in one another's company!

Whether or not you are Singaporean or Malaysian, or a student of any other nationality, we invite you to join our club if you are at all interested. Not too many people outside of Asia know much about Singapore or Malaysia (or the Southeast Asian region in general), and part of SMSA's vision is to place our homes on the map for all to see and discover.
